The 70s craft scene is extensively covered, and Sue's fashion embroidery from that time is illustrated in the book.
(My career in embroidered textiles was launched in the late 70s: in 1976 I took a picnic basket full of samples to Vogue magazine; met the designer Bill Gibb, and created my first collection of quilted, appliquéd jackets for his Spring/Summer 1977 Collection).
